Are sugar gliders a hard pet to take care of? Do they smell really bad?

i really want to get one. I just want to know basic things about them. and do they have to eat the worm meals?

Or is their something else i can feed them with protien. Im not so cool with the live worm thing but if its absolutly nessesary ill do it.
