Lats week I found a stray kitten in my yard. He’s probobly 9-12 weeks old. His left eye has green goop draining out of it and was matted shut when I found him. His eye is a little better now but last night above that eye I found a large lump. It is oozing just a little tiny bit. He doesnt act like its there and is eating, playing ect just like normal. Our shelter won’t take him from us because they say we live to far out of town(I don’t see why that matters, I will drive him there..) so we are trying to find him a home. We already have 4 cats, 3 dogs, 3 chinchillas, 2 sugar gliders, 1 bird, and a gheco so we are full right now. I can’t get him to a vet this week (no money). Does anyone know what this lump could be and if it is life threatening?
If the lump is still there on monday I will be able to take him to the vet then. the shelter I talked to is the only one within an hour from my house and it really isnt a nice place, they wont let many people adopt an animal from them and they never take in animals from certain people. i tried to adopt a dog from them once and they told me I couldnt because we own a non shedding dog so they said we are picky dog owners(nice reason right?). anyways.. he is still acting normal luckily, its definately not a tick. Its a large swollen lump about the size of a penny. I think it has something to do with the goopy eyes. I’ve seen lots of kettens with goopy eyes but never a lump though. I just hope he can wait until Monday for the vet. I’ve got an emergency vet number in case he gets worse over the weekend. I’m afraid its a warbol.. Thanks for all the advise so far!
todaythe lump popped. He looks a lot better, I’m not sure if its a good thing that it popped or not.. He has a gooy substance all over where the lump was but the skin isnt wounded or anything. It was like a giant zit or something. Last night it had swollen so much he could hardly open his eye. Today he’s loking good but would you recomend me trying to get the money to take him to the vet still or do you think he’s probobly fine now?

I have a mealworm farm and raise mealworms to feed to my sugar gliders. I just got some new mealies in fromg Grubco last week and while checking on them today I noticed that one had a large “bubble” on it’s back. I broke open the bubble and there is what seems to be a tiny leech inside!
I can’t figure out what the heck it is(I checked everwhere online) and was hoping that someone here might be able to help me out.
Here are pics:

Please help. ![]()
It’s not turning into a beetle. These are my first mealies, I know what they look like when they change.
This is some type of parasite that has attached itself to one of my mealworms. I need to know what it is so I can make sure that it’s not something that could harm my sugar gliders if they accidentaly ate an infected mealie.
Thank you for your help Wicked. I have contacted the company, but stil no reponse.
so I just got a sugar glider about a week ago….and after about 2 days she seemed to have adjusted to us..(in the case of when we went to grab her or she wouldn’t bite) however, these past 2 days when I go to grab her she tries to bite me and jumps away?? My dog has been barking at which may be the reason she has become defensive??? but I don’t want her to become agressive…..she is just a baby now…how can I tame her or what should I do??
