could a sugar glider b able to b just a house pet or is it to exotic of an animal???

Alright I was searching around for somet pets, and I came across mice and the sugar gliders but I want to stick to the more average household pet.

I am wondering if anyone knows about a specific breed cat that is miniature, or a miniature dog?? Or even if anyone has an opinion on what they would suggest. I want something that can run arond my house when im home and they wont act out of control, I am basically up for any kind of animal so long as it can handle itself like a dog or a cat. I just want a nice small animal with fur that I ca play with.

i want a new pet and i want either a ferret , flemish giant rabbit, or a sugar glider, which one would be the best, im new at the whole small pets thing,

which would be the best suited, i live on 40 acres in north carolina, if that means anything, i want a pet that will bond to me, please help me

I seen sugar gliders for sale today at the flee market, and I like them. I am considering buying one in the future, but I am gonna first research more info on how hard the are to care for and if they truely make a good pet? How much they cost, a fair price? How hard they are to tame? Anything special I should know before purchasing them, I am looking for any input that other owners can tell me.
