How do i convince my mom to let me get a hamster?

It’s not fair! My friend is getting a sugar glider because she has enough money saved, her mom says she doesn’t care what her daughter does with her money. I told my mom can I at LEAST get a hamster, a FIVE DOLLAR HAMSTER from Petco! She said its not because they are “dirty” or “noisy” its because she “has a problem with rodents”, she just “doesn’t like them”. I keep telling her she wouldn’t have to take care of it, she wouldn’t have to see it because it would be in MY room, MINE! I also have a dog and a turtle, sometimes when I go to a sleepover she hates taking my dog outside and feeding him and doesn’t want to have to do it for a hamster, can you give me any advice?PLEEEEEEASE!

Unsure of what pet to get…?

Well, I know questions like this are annoying, but I felt it necessary to ask this one because I am so distraught on what pet to research/consider buying. I’ve looked into many pets for the past few months trying to decide what the perfect pet for me is. I’m not a very busy person, so I would have plenty of time for the animal. Maintainance is not an issue. I would like something that’s not too expensive ($1000+ initial starter fee) or too cheap like a hamster. I want something playful, yet cuddly that can be kept alone or with company. I do not want a mouse, hamster, reptile/amphibian of any kind, spider, rat, or fish. I’ve considered a ferret or sugar glider recently, but am unsure if that’s what I really want.

Thank you for any suggestions!
Oh, not looking for dogs or cats. I would like something that can be caged part-full time.
I’ve done the research on ferrets. A lot of it, actually.
Laura, apparently you ignored my editied post because I clearly said that I had done all the research. I’m just trying to explore my options is all.

New animal?

I want a new pet that’s easy to care for and doesnt make my room smell like pee (: I already have a small dog and i used to have 3 rabbits but they are pretty hard to keep exercised and well-fed. Im thinking about buying a hamster but i want something like unusual? haha anyone have a sugar glider? I want oneee. Hahaha. Welll what do you suggest? something cute please

Can’t get a sugar glider :(. Any suggestions?

After much thought and research I’ve made the sad decision not to get a sugar glider because I will be going to college soon and I don’t want it to to have a stressful(which I know it would be) life. So I will wait until after I graduate. But, in the meantime I would like to get a pet to keep me company that isn’t so high maintenance but I don’t know what. Is there anything else you could suggest? And please don’t say a hamster :( , to me they’re not much of a pet. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
I’ve had rats, a ball python, lizards, and fish and although they were all cool, none ever seemed very affectionate or loving

HELP I seriously need help choosing a new pet, with a good explanation why.?

I really want a new rodent I like Sugar Gliders (not too sure if I want to cater their food every night) I like chinchillas but head that they are very hard to bond with also that they live 20 some years (college in 4 years but I’m sure I could make do) Fancy Black Bear hamster not too smart do not form a strong bond more interested in other thing then than me Please do not tell me to get a guinea pig I for some odd reason just can’t stand them please don’t tell me to re-consider unless you have very strong reasoning. I like flying squirrels don’t know too much about them though other than that they have a very strong bond with their owners and feeding is quite easy Short-tailed opossums, hedgehog, duprasi, chipmunk, Japanese ear-tufted squirrel. As you can see I would really like an exotic I could handle a glider and their special care but I don’t want care to become a burden I can handle a Saltwater ecosystem so I can handle a rodent. I am open to just about anything so shoot! Thanx
Sorry about the punctuation in my question I had to delete it to make it all fit!
I am quite open to chinchillas.
