I’m teaching my sugar glider not to bite by spritzing it in the face with water each time it does. Am I going about this the right way? Any other suggestions from sugar glider owners?

What are the symptoms of being allergic to sugar gliders?
My 10-yr-old little girl played with some sugar gliders Monday while she was at her dad’s house and her whole face is red and swollen. It almost looks like mumps with a rash. The right side is really bad. The rash is kind of scaly and dry and itches a lot. The doctor seemed to think it was from the sugar gliders. She has been on Prednisone for over 24 hours now and doesn’t look any better so now I’m wondering if we have a good diagnosis. I don’t know anything about sugar gliders.
