Has Anyone Owned a Pet Southern Flying Squirrel?(only answer if u have!)?

For a “Christmas gift” I am getting a pet Southern Flying Squirrel in 3 weeks (not the same thing as a sugar glider). I have been reaserching for over 1 year now and know ALOT about care requirements, health, and all sorts of things. I am getting her from a breeder in San Antonio, Texas called Helen’s Little Critters. I was wondering if anyone who has ever owned a flyer or bought any exotic pets from Helen’s Little Critters before could tell me of their experences? Did yours make a good pet? Did it live long? ext.

Ps: Flying squirrels have been domesticated for 100s of years and are NOT wild animals. They are legal pets so please dont give me any “Wild animals shouldnt be pets” crap. I have fully reserched this and am making the disition to get one with alot of knowlage.

I have read alot about them and was under the impression that they had basically no smell, but just spoke with someone who had a friend who owned some that actually had been descented, and she said they smelled terrible. Does anyone have any experience with sugar gliders? Any info will be appreciated, because I was thinking of getting one for my son for Christmas

What does it mean when my Sugar Glider…?

My sugar glider makes this load noise that sounds like an alarm clock. Why does it make it? And it’s done it alot lately, ever sense my cat started sleeping in my room. Could it be doing it because of the cat or some other reason?
It’s not crabbing. I know what that is because I heard enough of it when I was starting to train him. This is different. He won’t stop till I get up and pet him! He’ll even do it when it’s just me in the room and not the cat. (My cat is deaf and has one eye btw, so he dosn’t even know the sugar glider is there! lol) But this sound he makes is very loud and sounds like an alarm clock going off. Could this just be him jealous of the cat sleeping on my bed? Or just wanting me to get up and pay him attention?

Guy trouble AGAIN!!!!!?

Well i’m having guy trouble once again….. Me and this guy matt have been dating for like 3 months and he is starting to be a real jerk to me….. Now this really sweet guy named luke is starting to come to my karate classes and so far we have only talked 2 times and it was about my sugar glider….. I seem to no alot about him but he doesn’t even no my name….. I hate starting conversations and i just can’t bring myself to talk to him i don’t want to seem like an moron if ya no what i mean i really need help how do i get him to notice me or something what should i say to him if i do talk first? Please help me….
