I was curious, just adopted an adult sugar glider…do they bond with just one human or is it that once they’ve bonded with a human they’re okay with all of them? Mine has bonded with me very quickly but I want her to be okay with my husband in the house too…

i jmust recently rescued an adult sugar glider.. she is about 4 years old and has never been handled.. i have another little girl glider who was about 1 years old when i got her and have had no problems with her at all… but my new adu;t girl is very snotty and seems like she has had no human contact… never been bag trained or shirt trained… is there anything i can do… will she eventually calm down and bond with me… please someone help!

The babies take one year to become sexually mature. For this question we will assume I get an equal ratio of males/females out of the babies. So how many adults and how many babies will I have in 3 years? I will be trading with local breeders to aviod inbreeding, but that doesn’t matter for this question.

We went away for a couple of days (my sister took care of them) and when we came back our newborn baby was dead. It’s been a few days and we went to feed them and the smallest adult looked really sick. I stayed up late and tried to make him feel better. We live in a small town and we couldn’t find an emergency vet. I made him comfortable and went to bed and in the morning he was dead too. We have two more and I am terrified they will die too. Please help I have read all I could and I don’t think we are doing anything wrong. Any ideas?

I recently visited a pet store in Stephenville Texas to purchase mealworms for my sugar gliders. I noticed they had an adult glider for sale. She is being very poorly cared for, in a tiny cage, housed in the same room with birds. She was being fed peanuts and trailmix for a bag.
My first question is if it is even legal to sell sugar gliders in pet store in Texas. I know that some state ban the sale of these animals in stores, but I’m not sure about Texas. If it’s not legal, to whom do I report this.
If it is legal, is there a way to report the mistreatment of this animal?
