I’ve had a hampster and almost had a sugar glider but they bark..even though they’re really cute.. the whole nocturnal barking thing wouldnt work so well. hampster.
They have their positives and negatives:
Ferrets are fun to play with and can be litter trained but they like to get into your stuff and alot of them like to bite.
Sugar gliders are cute and love to snuggle in a “nest” strung up in their cage but when they are scared or mad, they let out a scream that is almost deafening.
Hamsters (espescially the fluffy “Teddy Bear” variety) are cuddly and loving and are the most inexpensive of the animals that you have mentioned but some varieties are bad biters and all varieties must have their cages cleaned daily to keep it from smelling very bad.
I don’t know alot about Chinchillas but I’d imagine that their fur is very soft (which is why some have been used to make coats).
Whichever animal that I chose, I would want to make sure that they were hand-raised so that they were tame and liked to interact with humans.

I would rather have a sugar glider, because I have time to commit to it, and I love exotic pets.

A ferret is high mantinence and they stink.
A sugar glider also stinks and can be expensive.
A chinchilla is very messy and shy.
A hamster is low maintence, but can be a little nippy.

I like ferrets because they are playful and love to follow you around, and chins because they are soft and cuddly and stay up at night with me.
