  1. it depends on the personality of the pets

  2. Any of those should get along with the rabbit if they are introduced at an early age and if it is done properly over a period of time *supervised of course*

  3. i think that the rabbit would get along with any of these. I mean, i had eight baby rabbits and their size is equal to the animals you listed but their might be problems as they grow up…maybe not though and i do doubt it. But some of my rabbits didn’t even get along with each other, they perfer to be alone.

  5. DO not let a ferret and rabbit play togeterh. Ferrets natuarally hunt and kill rabbits in nature. People actually used to use them to go rabbit hunting. So, no to the ferret.

  6. I would only recommend the guinea pig, they are closely realted. Any other type of small animal and there could be problems. Besides a guinea pig can be housed with the rabbit, this is not true of the other small animals.

  7. i would say either a ferret or a chinchilla would by the best the hedgehog may pock ur let rbbit and hamster may get picked on and dont let them share a cage because they may start to fight over whos cage it is and a rabbit might kick them and brak his back my moma rabbit did that to her baby once hope this hopes!

  8. NOT a ferret – they instinctively will kill/eat rabbits. Hamsters and chinchillas are nocturnal and will disturb the rabbits sleep.

My first rabbit lived happily with a guinea pig (and as a bonus they have a similar diet so it is less timeconsuming fixing a big salad for the two) and currently my rabbit is best buddies with a cat – this took a lot of supervision when they were first introduced, so neither would get hurt but it has become a strong friendship.

  9. Like animals should only be housed together. Housing a rabbit and guinea pig together is dangerous for a guinea pig (my rabbit is constantly jumping and stamping her feet…. my guinea pigs would definitely be injured if they were housed with her.) In addition to safety, they have some different nutritional needs so they need separate foods. My guinea pigs are allowed to be with my rabbit only when I am sitting right there with them.

  10. rodents will view a smaller animal as food or a threat to their territiory. they seem to get along with guinea pigs as long as they are fully grown and not a miniture version.

  11. Rabbits and guinea pigs can get on fine. a lot of places don’t recommend it, however my rabbit and guinea pig live together happily, and sulk whenever they are seperated! by contrast though, my cousins rabbit attacked his sisters guinea pig when they tried to introduce them. One thing to remember though, is that whilst rabbits can eat guinea pig food, guinea pigs cannot eat rabbit food.
if you do not want another rabbit (which is usually the best option) then try introducing a ginea pig of the opposite sex, and neutering or spaying your rabbit, and hopefully they should get on fine.
Any of the other animals I would not recommend, (although I am not sure about the chinchilla) but ferrets are predators, and gerbils and other small pets are usually too small.

  12. all the hedge hogs i’ve ever known we not all that much fun to be around. guinea pigs and rabbits usually get along pretty well, just make sure that every one is friends before you leave them alone.
