I got my cage from someone that I found on http://www.craigslist.com
If you haven’t heard of it, it’s basically where you search your local listings and go pick up whatever someone’s selling.
I make a lot of my gliders’ pouches, hammocks, toys, etc. myself. Here is a link for some stuff you can do yourself without a sewing machine. http://www.suzsugargliders.com/nosewaccessories.htm
I get some toys from Petsmart, like little bells and stuff. I’m wary about cat toys since they can be treated with catnip, which is deadly to gliders. I mostly stick with the bird toys.
I feed my sugar gliders BML, and it contains apple juice, honey, baby juice, baby food, baby cereal, 2 different kinds of vitamin/mineral supplements, an egg, and wheat germ. It’s all blended into one mixture that you freeze. I get all of the supplies at Wal-Mart and Petsmart. The recipe is found here: http://www.angelfire.com/nb/sugarglider/leadbeat.html
I get their fruits and veggies from Wal-Mart, and get the mealworms at Petsmart or Petco, as well as yogurt drops.
Sometimes you just have to really keep an eye out when you’re looking for stuff for them. I spend a lot of my time in the baby isle at Wal-Mart.
