Where are some places I can advertise my pet rescue on the internet for free?

Also ideas. I am going to put flyers at the puplic library and at local petstores. Where else should should I put flyers? Also, please list some free classified ads sites. ANd some sites like: pefinder.com, pet-ark.com and pets 911.com. I was also looking for houston, tx pet magazines.

Thanks!

P.S. It is a pet rescue for small animals(sugar gliders, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, parakeets, frogs, ect.)

  2. You could always try free online classifieds. If you type free online classifieds into the search bar you will find a lot of them. Hope this helps.

I currently have a few websites on Freewebs.com. but since your not paying for a domain name it would end up like http://www.freewebs.com/(your screen name). If you want, i can advertise it for you, just tell me what specifically you want me to advertise. (i also wanna have a shelter for animals around where i live because there isnt ANY shelters around here, and we cant have animals dying on the streets, but thanx for that idea, i might make fliers when the time comes, i dont know why i never thought of that). you can aim me: ShadowAngel94

I’d recommend sending out fliers to local vet offices, local media, online websites for local media (such as their calendars and local links sections), as well as connecting with local humane societies/ shelters and animal controls. Check on Petfinder to find ALL rescues in your state who work with the same animals you do. This will help you stay in touch with other rescuers.

Also, if you’re looking to adopt out, you can put your info on Petfinder.com, Pets911 and place fliers in local Petco/ Petsmart and other pet supply stores. You may also find that grocery stores, banks and restaurants with waiting areas will have a bulletin board for locals to play advertisements and fliers. Got a college nearby? Many of them have bulletin boards where you can advertise pets for adoption.

You can host a large display at your local public library for the special months, such as Guinea Pig Rescue month (March) and Rescue a Bird Month (January).

Check out http://www.houstonpettalk.com/ and try to get your rescue listed there.
