okay, this is all true and everything…
    but think about it…
they have to do stuff way more challenging in their wild, natural habitat. i encourage getting a flying squirrel! they are great pets!

  4. Any questions – Write to me. I have nothing to sell and I don’t claim to be an expert or have all the answers. but I MAY be able to help. These videos make the Suger Glider sound more like a pest, than a pet. They could not be more incorrect. They are a JOY to be with and will NOT bite or stink if PROPERLY handled and fed. Even bathroom habits can be managed, if you know how. If you do write me – please realize that it may take me a little time to get back to you.

  8. I have seen so many people kill them from bad diet, mishandling, and other dangers. Its why I sound so ANTI-glider. Most people have NO idea what they are getting into when they get these animals. I have done MANY rescues from impulse buyers who kept them in hamster cages and fed them pizza and grapes. You cannot make judgment until you have seen what I have through the years. These are wild animals and need a special diet, lots of room, and companionship to thrive. -elizabeth

  9. As for my expertise I have worked for an exotics specialty vet hospital for 8 years and owned gliders about that long as well. Whats your expertise that you speak from?

I don’t recommend them as pets for most people. The care they require to keep them healthy is much more than people expect. They are not hamsters nor domestic on any level. They are wild animals only a few generations removed from their wild Australian ancestors.

when fish would die in my aquarium ,it is the quickest burial..

also it is the quickest burial when you kill a roach..squat..flush..gone..

Just make sure you pick it up with tissue or toilet paper…

No, it’s called splatting, it doesn’t hurt, but it’s a good way to train them to stay on you.
