Well there are guine pigs, pigs(kinda), birds, and possibly kittens!

Mice, rats, snakes, lizards, degu, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. Some exotics shops have things like siberian chipmunks.

Gerbils, rats, mice, rabbits, ferrets, degus, guinea pigs, pygmy hedgehogs; these are just a few. There are many different species, and also subspecies and breeds of the above.

Mice, rats, ferrets, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits if you want furries. Then there are all kinds of reptiles: snakes, lizards, turtles, and so on. Study up on these first as there is danger of salmonella.
Of course there are birds, but you have to be careful, many of these are imported illegally and many die in transit, be sure you deal with a reputable dealer and get a bird that has been hatched in country.
Never get an exotic animal, like a monkey. They are cute but they are not pets. They cannot really be tamed and most humans don’t have the capability of giving them the proper environment or diet.
Best thing is to find a dependable pet store and ask questions. If you don’t like what you hear, find another one and ask more questions. And don’t take the kids with you. They’ll want the first thing they see and that’s the end of that.

Rabbits, guinea pigs, degus, gerbils, rats, mice, many people keep squirrels, ferrets…
That’s just what I can think of off the top of my head. I won’t list the reptiles, fish and amphibians….

ferrets are small & one of the best pets out there in my opinion; they are so much fun & absolutley adorable. downside is that they require a lot of care and commitment they can also be quite expensive in the end after all the supplies.
but there are also things like
Birds . Guniea pigs . Rats .
Rabbits . Snakes . Turtles .
Toy Dogs or other small
breeds . Lizards . Hedge
