As much as sugar gliders may like these . . . er . . . treats, it can cause a terrible odor. Did you purchase your gliders from Pocket Pets? They say some regular food, vitamins, and apples will do the trick. My sugar glider, (Rocco & Jillian) LOVE Goldfish. You should try that.
xD omg wtf. lol Mealworms are a large part of their diet. Sugar Gliders need LIVE food, mealworms, crickets, grasshoppers.. .and Rocky sounds like he’s making “yummy noises” happy noises when they eat. . .and smack there food. lol
I went back and turned up the volume to hear his Yummy Noises, I’d missed them on the first pass. Do you keep gliders? I’d read they don’t glide in captivity but Rocky spends a lot of these vids in the air, does yours?
i heard it ruins there diet i searched it and its not good for them. and the diet i feed mine are perfectly fine. the reason we dont feed it bugs or anything is because it makes them smell bad.
actually most do. just not as far as you see in the wild. when they jump htey almost allways glide because it’s in their nature. but you have to sorta teach them to go far distances
It takes a good amount of time to bond with one, some never get completely comfortable. try washing your hands before handling one. they have special pouches too so you can carry it around so it gets used to you. Also try at the end of the day putting your dirty clothes near their cage, it helps them associate your smell with food and shelter. (sounds weird i know)
