Yes it should be. I fed my sugar glider veggies and fruits every night and a couple of meal worms. I would buy frozen veggies and an apple and give him like a couple slices of apple, some frozen veggies, and like 3 meal worms(all about 2 hrs before he woke up that way they veggies would be thawed.) I wouldnt worry too much about the bml diet as long as he is getting his protiens and veggies. You might want to buy a food guide on what they can and cant eat. Also try searching online for a sugar glider community. I use to be a part of one but I cant remember what its called. They will help you out tons with all different questions you have about Mr. Snuggles.

The actual BML is probably the most important part of his meal – it’s his main source of protien and vitamins. Fruits veggies and bugs are good for him, but if that’s all he eats he could become malnurished. I had the same problem when I first got my girls, and I posed a question about it on a forum http://www.sugarglider.net . This is the answer I got:
“First things first, with BML, you don’t need to feed any treats, they will throw your ratios off completely….. and especially if you’re trying to get your glider to eat the BML diet.”
“If you want your baby to eat the BML, I can show you how,…. but,…… you must do what I’m about to tell you to do, for it to work…..
You must only offer your suggie(s) one or two “pieces” of veggies, (like two peas, two pieces of corn, a piece of carrot,) along with 2 small pieces of fruit, and I mean small, along with 1/3 of the BML that you would normally offer each! And that’s it on the first night. No Treats, No Yoggies, No yogurt. You can feed each glider one mealworm in the morning only ! ”
“1st night: feed the above mentioned amount
2nd night: same thing
3rd night: increase the BML only (Not the veggies or the fruit)
4th night: the same as 3rd
5th night: increase the BML again, (Not the veggies or the fruit)
6th night: the same as 5th…
In other words you are increasing the BML NOT the veggies or the fruit, and believe me it DOES work. He/she will eat it, and remember (and this is important!) no more snacks or yogurt or treats. Again, he/she needs the calcium and vitamins in the BML mix. AND there is yogurt in the BML, so he/she really doesn’t need any extra yogurt.
Okay so you get him/her up to eating his/her share of the BML,….
Now what you want to do is: s-l-o-w-l-y increase the veggies and fruit like a piece of each, each night at a time”
“Yes, some glider WILL eat all their fruits, veggies and BML, others will fill up on the fruit and veggies and never learn that they need to eat the BML, because they don’t make room for it in their little tummies. ”
I took this advice to heart, and my guys still try and fill up on fruits and veggies but always make room for BML too. I hope that helps!
