Thought about hamsters?
They cost only about $10 to $15.
They are cute and much more easy to take care of. Just don’t get your other pets near it and you’ll be fine.
Tip: Don’t put 2 hamsters in the same cage.

Hermit Crabs are great but you have to be prepared to care for them, don’t believe ANYTHING the people at the petstore say because 99.9% of the time they are wrong. http://www.crabstreetjournal.com is a great place to learn about hermit crabs
