  1. Chauveye-veye!

I think u should get a guinea pig. They probly couldn’t sit on ur shoulder (too fat lol!), but u can play with them and love them and they aren’t hard to take care of!! And u can teach them tricks like to spin and climb up stairs and stuff, and they are just sooo great!!!

  2. what about a hamster or a guinea pig. if that is too dirty for you, then get a tortoiuse!(the small kind, not the big kind!) they’re so cute plus they are very convinient. and they’re fun to hold!

  3. I was looking at sugar gliders last night, and they need 5-6 hours of playtime EVERYDAY.. So I wouldn’t recomend either of those. Birds, cockatiels/lovebirds/parakeets are fantasic pets, very trainable, fairly easy to clean, and simple diets. Rabbits are fun, can be litter trained, not messy, alfalfa and veggie diets. Alot of people swear by rats, females I heard dont smell as much as males do, also pretty easy with cage cleanings. If you want something exotic, how about a ball python, I couldnt do the whole feeding thing, but you might be able to, simple but alive, not too trainable though.

Edit – I just read about the parakeets, and they arnt the most playful of the three I suggested ( especially if not handfed ), if you like birds though cockatiels or lovebirds (only have one though) are super playful when you get them as handfed babies.

  4. I’ve had experience with most all small pets and would have to say a rat fits your needs in every aspect.

#1 There small (although I’ve seen giant ones)
#2 There require a cage (I converted a bookshelf into a rat paradise which is sooo much fun coming up with toys and obstacles)
#3 Socialized rats loved to be held and played with (My rat Spartan loves to lay in our laps and watch my bf play Halo)
#4 Rats are very clean animals regardless of the stereotype that has been put on them (Mine love to play in the bath tub with his toys)
#5 Rats need a basic block feed, but not limited to (Spartan loves munching on what ever were eating)
#6 Rats are extremely intelligent and can learn various tricks (Spartan comes to his name and even plays fetch)
#7 Most rats love to cuddle up on your shoulder (Spartan personally likes to nap in my sweater hood)
#8 They have an inexpensive start up cost and upkeep compared to pets such as Gliders and Squirrels
#9 They come in all colors, patterns, sizes, and personalities

There not quite like Rufus, but I can assure you naked mole rats are boring in real life LOL Good luck to finding your new companion and wishing you the best. If you want to talk more about rats, send me an email.

  7. i would recomend ratties too, they seem to fit all your needs and they are just so much fun, you will need two though as they need a buddy, they won’t be any less social towards you though
