From Website… I didn’t type this:
One normally colored (gray with black stripe) baby glider sells for $175; colored sugar gliders are more expensive. Sugar gliders are so much happier when they have glider companions and it’s really the best way to keep them … so if you get more than one glider, the price for each additional glider is only $150. Some companies charge more when you get “pairs” of sugar gliders. Not us! We feel so strongly about keeping sugar gliders with their friends that we charge LESS for additional babies – it’s our way of saying thanks for doing sugar gliders the right way! Same sex joey pairs will be just as happy as male / female pairs, and our male / female pairs are guaranteed to be unrelated.

The sugar gliders I purchased were $375 for both brother and sister. You CAN NOT only keep 1 sugar glider. Alone they will get depressed and not eat at all or eat to much, run in circles at the bottom of their cage, pull or chew their fur out, chew at their legs, and will be stressed and have other health problems. They live in colonies in the wild and must be kept with a companion. You will also want to neuter it if it is a male so you won’t have babies or to keep it from developing strong scent glands. Neutering can cost anywhere from $50-$200. Mine was $100.
A sugar glider should not be fed only dry food. Their diet is complex and required 50% protein fresh protein such as cooked chicken or beef and mealworms, 25% FRESH vegetables and 25% FRESH fruit every night.
Sugars gliders need a cage larg enough to jump around in and should be AT LEAST 24x24x35 inches. I built my own for about $70 but most cages of minimum size are around $100
If for any reason your glider has a problem, they must be taken to an exotic vetrinarian.
If you want to own a glider, you will have to save up about $500 to start out with and that would only be for 2 females.
*The first post was from sugar-glider.com. I am very informed about this site. The breeder form this site only sell to people they talk to first and are sure they will make a good home. They also only deliver to large airports and you must pick the gliders up at the airport. Also, I have NEVER found a reputable breeder who charges more for a pair. Anyone who care about the gliders they sale undertasnd how inportant it is two have at least 2 gliders together. I saved $75 because I bought 2 together.

I got mine from a pet store (bad place to do so) for $189. If you can locate a reputable breeder, chances are you can get one for a little more than half that price.
