It’s my sugar glider! Tifa! She’s dead! I’m trying to perform CPR on her! But I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. I’m going mouth to mouth making sure her lungs are inflating, and using 1 finger and gently pushing on her chest. Should this work?! PLEASE HELP!!!!

If it helps, she looks like she’s paralized. I’m sure she’s not breathing, and she has wet herself. I have vitamins she has to take, and I’ve put some down her throat to maybe help. PLEASE?!?! IF SHE DIES I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’LL DO!!!!

NO NO NO!!!!!!!! She can’t! I won’t let her! It’s now been only 2 hrs! I don’t care! I’ll still do it! I would call the vet’s but they’re closed!!! I just called a friend and my mom, I didn’t mean to type that I DID call the vets. It was a misunderstanding! BUT I NEED HER! I can still feel her paws on my back and shoulders! I DID IT!!!! She’s back! I’m on here now at 2:03 pm, and I did it til 3 am and she’s back!!! VERY slim chances but I said I’ll never give up!!!!!!!!!!

I swear! When I get old enough, I’ll take CPR classes and help save lives of others!!! That has to be my cause in life! It has to! Why else would performing CPR on a sugar glider for over 7 hrs bring her to life if it’s not meant to be?

It sounds like your doing it right just make sure you tilt her head back so her tounge doesnt block her throught. If her head is small then cover her mouth and nose when you give her a breath.

Its already dead after 6 minutes wiht no oxygen to the brain your brain dead. Sorry buddy but Tifa dead. Also you probubly popped its lungs because they are so tiny and don’t worry its not your fault and you could always buy a new one.
Edit: Read the post about the stomach being baloadted. When you were doing your breathing the air went into the stomach instead of the lungs which either means;
a. You poped its lungs and the air is going into the stomach.
b. It could be filled with somthing like blood frm some internal injury which may have caused its death.
Edit 2: Well continue to do whatever you wish but if blood or other fluids start to come out of its mouth or body i recommend you stop touching it or you could get a disease or something like that. I know how it is to lose a animal or pet. My dog died 2 years ago when i was 14 and you just have to keep moving forward and try to forget about him/her.

Remember in CPR: the chest compressions are always more important than the attempt to fill the lungs with air.

I am really really sorry for you, but I think she is dead. You will have to give her a proper funeral and burial. It is really sad that she died, but everything in life comes to an end. There is no way she can be replaced, but maybe sometime you can get a different one and that one can also be your friend.
