The first half of your video had some very good information, but I want to politely give my opinion, and I hope you will not take offense as I like to help. Sunseed has been proven to cause staining in gliders as well as some other health problems. Gliders are not meant to chew hard pellets as they are sap-suckers and like nectar or nectar-like food. While some homemade recipes seem complicated, not all of them are, and many were developed by professionals in the countries gliders came from.
@sweetReaper I have been an owner and breeder of gliders for quite a while now and I help run USDA licensed glider rescue as well. I am majoring to become an exotic vet and I can confirm that diets such as BML and HPW are very very good for gliders (so long as recipe is followed correctly) and match their natural diet more than pellet diets. HPW is easy to make and cheap and can reduce the glider’s natural musky scent. I feed it along with fresh fruits and veggies.
@sweetReaper I have had stitches many times from some bad biters at our glider rescue as well, so while some gliders may not bite so hard, there are some with a pretty nasty bite.
I really appreciated most of your information though, as a lot of it (especially in the first half) was correct and information that most people say is incorrect due to horrible glider mills such as PPP (Perfect Pocket Pets). GliderCentral is an amazing place to get some information on gliders! Thanks again!
