This is on the third or fourth night I got my new male Sugar Glider, Eevee. He came in pretty healthy at 4-5 months old, and I started him on a fresh diet about half mealworms or eggs and then papaya, blackberries, baby spinach leaves, green and red romaine, radicchio, sugar snap peas, and other herbs mixed in as we get them, like parsley, mint, and rosemary this month. I’m in the bathroom with him, sitting on the toilet with the lid down at about 2 AM when he is at his most active and …
Hes so cute where can i get one?

They are a lot of work, I recommend you read up on them first. And, ideally, you want two otherwise they get depressed and die.

are they kind of like squirrels because i have a squirrel
Report Spam/Abuse

Report Spam/Abuse
Yes. All animals bite.

Uhm, no they’re called Sugar Gliders. Flying Squirrels are different. I wouldn’t recommend buying them at a pet store.

great name for a sugar glider
Report Spam/Abuse
no they are a marmoset
Report Spam/Abuse
mine have never bitten. it depends on how attached to you they are and how much time you spend with them.
Report Spam/Abuse
squirrels are rodents, sugar gliders are marsupials.
Report Spam/Abuse
oh wow
how do you know what not to do to it
Report Spam/Abuse
infact sugar gliders are one of the cutest animals ever
Report Spam/Abuse
wait, you named him evee? adorable! your lucky to have one.

I just adoptoed two boy suggies yesterday and they’re terrified of me. One bit me when I tried to take him out of the pouch. Eevee seems very comfortable with you after only a few days. Any tips?

don’t let them take charge, or it’ll ruin the “bonding process”, the relationship between you two, and they’ll be your master rather than the other way around. if they bite you, keep holding him (act like nothings wrong), don’t flinch! no matter what talk to them in an encouraging voice, and put them back when YOU want to put them back. eventually you’ll be the best of friends! lol.
~hope you train them well!

jellydonutluver….sugar gliders are marsupials.

Yeah I’m gonna try to not flinch. One bit me when I tried to pick up his brother the first day. I left them alone after that and I later read that I shouldn’t do that. Thanks for the info.
