I wouldn’t recommend separating the male at this point, since the stress could actually cause the mother to reject her joeys – they may actually be old enough to be detatched from the nipple at this point – no good way to find out without being able to handle the mom unfortunately. PLEASE take my advice and go to this web forum: http://www.sugarglider.net – these people have helped me through so much (I have 5 suggies and always need advice) – register, and post what you’ve posted here. i think you just need to let nature take it’s course, and hope for the best for the babies. If i were you i would google as much info as i could or buy a good book on sugar gliders and just as soon as the babies are able to be weaned i would seperate them from both parents and start handling them and carrying them in a pouch hung around your neck between two shirts…I doubt at this stage if the parents ever could be tamed. i think you got taken in by everybody concerned here…somehow you need to cut your losses and just concentrate on the babies with as much attention as you can. Advertise the parents as a proven breeding pair. somebody will buy them..good luck to you,
