Anyone know where I can find a sugar glider rescue?

I’ve been doing research on them and have decided I would like to get a pair, but I’d rather adopt them. Anyone know of any sugar glider rescues?

  1. Talk to your local pet shops. You may even be able to find out from your local vets. Sometimes people buy them only to find out later that they cant take care of them. A friend of mine owned a pet store and people brought her all kinds of animals and usually it was a mother whos child brought home a pet without permission. Anything from sugar gliders to raccoons to pythons.

I don’t know of any specific rescues, but I do know they are all over. What state are you in?

I frequent a forum called http://www.sugarglider.net – a large community of owners and owners-to-be. I bet if you post this question there you’ll have a slew of people pointing you in the right direction. Kudos for considering rescues!
